Chela Ltd and CrossCountry Trains have been awarded a Silver Medal in the Environmental Health category at the Commonwealth Environment & CSR Awards 2026, recognising the success of CrossCountry’s Green Washroom Project.
Presented in Glasgow on 31 July, the awards – which run alongside the Commonwealth Games – celebrate organisations across the Commonwealth that are making a positive impact through environmental initiatives and corporate social responsibility. Hosted by The Green Organisation, the Commonwealth Environment & CSR Awards highlight projects that demonstrate practical action, innovation, and a commitment to responsible business.
The Silver Medal recognises CrossCountry’s Green Washroom Project, delivered in partnership with Chela. The project uses plant-based cleaning products to help reduce environmental impact while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across washroom environments.
For Chela and CrossCountry Trains, the recognition reflects a shared commitment to sustainability, innovation, and responsible business practices. It also demonstrates how practical changes in day-to-day operations can support wider environmental goals.
Chela would like to congratulate everyone involved in the Green Washroom Project and thank CrossCountry Trains for its continued partnership in delivering more sustainable cleaning solutions.
