Chela Ltd sponsor Team Kits for St Margaret’s Church Football Club

The girls model their new kit from Chela

Chela Ltd, based in Brimsdown, Enfield, have sponsored the girls’ 2024 U12 and U13 team kits for St Margaret’s Football Club, enabling them to join the Hackney Marshes Girls Football League

• Coach, Michael Hicks, took over the team in 2022, expanding its players to include girls from schools across the local community
• The team grew from being a school holiday club to qualifying for the Hackney Marshes Girls’ Football League in 2024 requiring them to wear a team kit.
• Chela were approached for support and were delighted to sponsor the U12 and U13 teams.

“We are pleased to be the kit sponsor for the Under 12 and Under 13 teams at St Margarets”, explains Tony Philippou, Head of Marketing at Chela UK.  “There has been a 50% growth in women and girls’ football since the successes of the Lionesses and we are delighted to support the players as they improve their skills and get out on the field to play”

Coach Michael Hicks added, “On our kit launch day there was a big sense of suspense. When the kit was unveiled, the suspense changed to excitement with all the girls saying how much they loved the look of the kit. All the girls decided to walk home still wearing it and showing it off.”

Candice*, the captain of the U12 team said, “I love the colour! It will make us stand out from other teams.”
